Volunteer

Scouting is made possible by adult volunteers and we are always looking for extra people to help us deliver Scouting for the young people of Stafford. Our volunteers come from all walks of life. No matter who you are, we are sure to have a role for you. Whether you want to help lead our sections on a Thursday night, support our executive committee with their administration tasks or just be available to help our when you can, we are sure to have a role for you. Full training and support is provided so all you need is a positive attitude and a desire to help young people develop Skills for Life.

Our volunteers are recongnised through a nationwide awards scheme, recognising their service which makes Scouts possible. To find out more about these awards, please click here (external site).

It doesn't matter whether you can offer a regular weekly commitment or just a few hours throughout the year. If you think you can help us, we would love for you to get in touch. Please use the details on our contact page to let us know and we'll get back to you with more information.

Just so you are aware, all adult volunteers are required to go through an appointments process. Don't worry - this isn't like a job interview! However, it is an important process which helps to safeguard our young people and ensure that appropriate adults can take up volunteering opportunities. This process can vary from role-to-role but most roles will require you to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. There is no charge for this and we will guide you through each step of the process.
